At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About the role:
As a Curriculum Team Leader, and a member of the college’s middle management team, you will be responsible for managing a team of lecturers, visiting officers and technicians, ensuring that all students benefit from a high quality and innovative learning experience. This will include day to day resource management and addressing of staff/student concerns. As the leader of the team, you will represent the area at meetings and events to internal and external stakeholders and may be required to deputise for the Curriculum Area Manager.
To be successful in your application you will have experience of leading and deliver of foundation level programmes (pre-entry, entry level and level 1), English and maths programmes. It is expected that you will be passionate about the impact of well planned and delivered programmes at this level to re-engage, encourage or bridge gaps in young people’s education.
You will have a degree/professional qualification in a relevant subject area, endorsed teaching qualification and teaching experience, with ability to communicate with stakeholders at a variety of levels. Experience of developing and manging cross-college provision, budget and resource management, self-assessment report writing and quality assurance of teaching, learning and assessment an English and maths funding regulations whilst not essential would be advantageous.
