About the Role:
The Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In Education these include the PGCert, MA Education, MBA, PGCE, as well as doctoral level studies. Our undergraduate provision includes Working with Children, Families and Communities, Early Childhood Studies, Montessori and Primary Education Studies. Following our successful accreditation from the Department of Education, we will be delivering courses that award Qualified Teacher Status from September 2024, starting with a brand-new three-year BEd (Hons) Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status.
We are now developing the Professional Services team to support our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) offer and are seeking to appoint a highly organised and self-motivated individual as Placement and Compliance Officer. You will need a degree or part qualified in a relevant professional qualification at degree level appropriate to the role or demonstrable appropriate level of experience and evidence of CPD. You will have excellent communication skills and proficiency with data management systems and you will act as a point of contact for school placements and students, maintaining accurate records and representing the ITT team in written and verbal communication. We are keen to hear from people who are familiar with schools or initial teacher training and understand the complexities of working collaboratively with them. You will also be liaising directly with trainees to ensure they are fully compliant to begin their Initial Teacher Training.
You will be an integral part of the new ITT team, led by the Director of ITT and working alongside the ITT Operations Manager and you’ll be joining a team of motivated, dynamic, inclusive academics and professional services colleagues committed to making ITT a success at ARU.
