About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Administrator for the ARU Language Centre. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact, handling enquiries efficiently and referring to the Director and colleagues as necessary.
The role involves supporting the administration of the ELPT and India testing, including face-to-face invigilation and test security, as well as assisting with the delivery of induction, orientation programmes, and progression procedures for students while liaising with university services and colleagues. Additionally, the responsibilities include administering Associate Lecturer contracts, ensuring compliance with Right to Work documentation, and processing pay claims in a timely manner.
The administrator will also be involved in monitoring Pre-sessional and In-sessional provision, recording student attendance, following up on absences, and maintaining databases and related records. Another key aspect of the job is providing support for activities, events, and meetings at the Language Centre. This includes collating and circulating relevant information and documentation, booking venues, arranging hospitality, coordinating diaries, and organising social activities for students over the summer.
The role also requires undertaking staff development and training as needed, complying with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR requirements, and maintaining the confidentiality and security of information. Furthermore, the administrator must adhere to safeguarding responsibilities as detailed in the policy and procedure and perform other duties as required, commensurate with the grade.
If you are organised, proactive, and committed to supporting a vibrant academic environment, we encourage you to apply.
