About the Role:
The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In Education these include the PGCert, MA Education, MBA, PGCE, as well as doctoral level studies. Our undergraduate provision includes Working with Children, Families and Communities, Early Childhood Studies, Montessori and Primary Education Studies, as well as our new BEd Primary Education with QTS (subject to validation). Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience.
We have internationally excellent research in education, and have a number of world-leading social care and healthcare researchers in our faculty. We’re seeking an experienced, ambitious leader, who will be responsible for the operational leadership of Initial Teacher Training (ITT). In this role, you’ll work on our Peterborough campus to provide leadership related to mentoring, placements and partnerships, with responsibility for the design, development and implementation of an innovative curriculum. You’ll support the Director of ITT by working closely with the Leads for ITT at our other sites; Cambridge and at ARUP. Importantly, you’ll be joining a team of motivated, dynamic, inclusive individuals who are aspirational for our students and wider communities, passionate about high quality teaching and research and committed to empowering professionals, supporting life-long learning and employability, and striving for a socially just and inclusive society.
With a Qualified Teacher Status or EYITT and Masters degree, you will have proven experience in higher education and significant professional leadership experience in statutory education settings (school or equivalent).
