About the Role:

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated  Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in  AI enabled Multidimension Geographic Information Systems (MultiGIS)  to contribute to the UKRI/EPSRC funded AI4MultiGIS project  under the EU CHIST-ERA 2023 call.  The  AI4MultiGIS  aims to enhance GIS capabilities and optimize the processing chains of MultiGIS data generation and management through  innovative solutions for an intelligent data pipeline that gathers and structures data from diverse sources and employs novel outlier detection algorithms using unsupervised deep learning techniques with real-time spatiotemporal data processing and Responsible AI practice. The project is a collaboration with partners from leading academic institutions across Europe.

 

The role will be in the link between two different schools of ARU including Computing and Information Science and  Engineering and the Built Environment, is based at both the Cambridge and Chelmsford campus and operates within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. 

 

With a PhD or near completion or other relevant post-graduate research qualification,  you’ll be creative, motivated and have experience in relevant research methods. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills  with proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed research papers. You will be proficient in applying AI/ML techniques for geospatial analysis and geospatial modelling using  state of the art GIS-based software.  We provide an agile working environment with opportunity to work from home and campus.

 

The role is a fixed-term for 2 years
