About the Role:

You’ll be joining our Events team and will lead on the delivery of public engagement events for our Chelmsford and Writtle campuses.

 

The successful candidate will be able to develop strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders to ensure impactful engagement with our community. Some of the events that you will be responsible for include the hosting of speakers for the Essex Book Festival, community award ceremonies and a number of events to support national awareness campaigns such as, Mental Health awareness week, International Women's Day and Refugee week. 

 

You will use a range of communication methods such as Eventbrite, a community newsletter and mailchimp to drive attendance figures for public events. You’ll need to be highly motivated and have the initiative to seek out further public engagement opportunities across the University. Previous experience in promoting and marketing events would be beneficial. With a degree or part qualified in a relevant professional qualification at degree level or with demonstrable appropriate level of experience and evidence of CPD relevant to the role, you will be working as part of a busy events team and have the chance to work on a range of interesting projects.
