About the Role:

Are you passionate about supporting students in their educational journey? ARU is looking for a dedicated Schools and Colleges Engagement Officer to implement our new FE engagement strategy, building strong partnerships with schools and colleges to inspire and recruit students to our FE courses. In this role, you will work closely with key feeder schools, deliver targeted events like taster days and parent/carer sessions to showcase the opportunities ARU offers. You will take responsibility for a group of schools, creating tailored plans to engage students and staff, ensuring a smooth progression to our FE courses. By working with faculty and monitoring student applications, you will play a key role in achieving recruitment goals. If you are passionate about education and want to help students by shaping this new role in FE recruitment, this this is a great opportunity for you.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong communication and relationship-building skills, essential for developing partnerships with schools and colleges. Excellent organisational abilities are crucial for managing events and ensuring activities are delivered on time and within budget. You should be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of key institutions, and collaborating across teams to meet recruitment goals. A solid understanding of the education landscape, including FE to HE progression and the Gatsby Benchmarks, will be beneficial. Experience in delivering presentations and events, both in-person and digitally, is highly valuable, as is the ability to work within an agile setting. Adaptability, creativity, and a genuine passion for student success are key to thriving in this role.
