ARU

About ARU:

ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields.  We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities.  Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the Role:

Working within our School of Engineering and the Built Environment, you will play a key role in delivering and shaping an engaging student experience across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will contribute teaching in construction project management both in the UK and through our established international partnerships in China, bringing contemporary industry knowledge into the classroom. Alongside teaching, you will support curriculum innovation, supervise student projects and research, contribute to the School's research and knowledge exchange activities, and work collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen student success, graduate outcomes and the reputation of the School.

You will be an enthusiastic and collaborative academic or industry professional with expertise in construction project management. You will have strong knowledge of areas such as project management, construction technology, contract administration, project planning and resource management, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to inspire and support students from diverse backgrounds, contribute to research, scholarship or professional practice, and demonstrate a commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and inclusive education. Applicants should be willing to engage internationally, including periodic teaching visits to China, and contribute positively to the wider academic community.
