About ARU:

ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the Role:

As part of Team ARU, you’ll be joining a dynamic team that is focussed on achieving the ambitions of our strategy for sport. Our plan is to significantly increase the number of people engaged in sport and to develop our reputation as an institution that supports talented athletes. As Clubs and Performance Sport Manager you’ll play a key part in our efforts to continuously improve the student experience by driving the development of our club programme; identifying and delivering new ways to broaden their impact upon our campus communities. You’ll direct our high-performance sports offer, by coordinating support services and developing partnerships to enable our sport scholars and performance teams to reach their potential.

With a degree, you’ll have experience of managing staff in a sports environment. You’ll have a passion for sports, be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to think strategically. A proven track record of working within a high-performance sport environment and working with a wide range of sports organisations is essential. You’ll be a highly motivated team player with a clear track record of achieving results.
