About ARU:

ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields.  We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities.  Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the Role:

As part of Team ARU, you’ll be joining a dynamic team that is focussed on achieving the ambitions of our strategy for sport. Our plan is to significantly increase the number of people engaged in sport and to develop our reputation as an institution that supports talented athletes. As Women’s Basketball Coach, you will play a key role in driving the continued success of our women’s basketball programme at both university and national league levels. Your leadership will enhance an already thriving programme and ensure that basketball remains a vital and rewarding part of the Anglia Ruskin student sport experience.

We’re looking for someone who holds a Level 2 basketball coaching qualification from Basketball England (or an equivalent international qualification). You’ll be passionate about sport, motivated to contribute to our vision, and experienced in developing team performance. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with prior experience in a sports environment.
