About Anglia Ruskin University:

Anglia Ruskin is a vibrant workplace and our University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally. We have ambitious plans for the future and we are determined that our students and staff will realise their full potential. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investment. With an annual turnover of over £200m, we are a major force for higher education and one of the largest universities in the East of England.

About the role:

The Strategic Planning and Performance Directorate provides data insights on a whole range of strategically important indicators to make informed decisions and is responsible for key student-related statutory returns and the data for national surveys.

This is a new post within the recently established Strategic Transformation and Change Team, which provides a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead on the delivery of two strategically important projects.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Transformation and Change, you will lead on the delivery of business solutions with its anticipated benefits to continue improving ARU’s student data quality, meet HESA’s new requirements as part of the national Data Futures programme and identify opportunities to drive efficiencies. You will also manage the redesign of our existing Business Intelligence Data Warehouse, set up a new central Data Insight Hub, including BI Target Operating model and upskilling of staff.

The role will involve working collaboratively with a range of key stakeholders, both internal and external to the University, calling on your excellent people and communication skills and your strong problem solving and organisational capabilities to ensure these projects are delivered to time, cost and quality.

You will require a degree or relevant professional qualification, as well as having a proven track record of delivering change initiatives in a complex organisational environment. The ability to understand and articulate technical deliverables in the context of data and business intelligence projects is an essential requirement which should be demonstrated by previous experience. The successful applicant will be based in Chelmsford or Cambridge but must be comfortable with working remotely. Some travel may be required between campuses.
